WHAT IS THE TVNEC?
As part of a planning grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), the TVNEC will be comprised of a top-level steering committee working to develop the market analysis and business plans that support development of a nuclear components industry cluster, a Small Modular Reactor, Ultra-Heavy Forging Capability…all in the Tennessee Valley Corridor region.

Building on more than 15 years of significant success by the national, award-winning Tennessee Valley Corridor, Inc., the Tennessee Valley Corridor Foundation was created in 2005 to support the additional research, scholarly discussions and publications, conferences and meetings, and public communications/education efforts needed to advance regional innovation and new high-tech job creation. The TVC footprint features 10 congressional districts from North Alabama through Tennessee into Southwest Virginia, Southern and Eastern Kentucky and Western North Carolina. |
